Affiliate Disclosure

This page explains how Avaro Labs makes money. Plain language, no fine print. If anything here seems inconsistent with what you read in an audit, tell us and we will fix one or the other.

The short version

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and later subscribe to that product, the vendor pays us a commission. You pay nothing extra. That commission is how this lab funds its research.

This disclosure applies sitewide and satisfies the FTC's endorsement guidelines (16 CFR Part 255). Every page that contains affiliate links also signals it in the page header.

What this money does not buy

A commission buys a vendor nothing in our audits. Not a better score, not a softer verdict, not a quieter paragraph about their rate limits. The mechanics that enforce this are published in full in our methodology. The three that matter most:

  • Fixed grid. Every product is scored against the same 15-point matrix. We cannot tilt a review by picking friendlier criteria, because the criteria never change.
  • Symmetry. Products with no affiliate program get the same depth of audit as products that pay us. When a non-paying product wins a category, it wins the category. Our Make vs n8n audit hands most categories to the self-hosted option that pays us nothing. That was the math, so that was the verdict.
  • Flagged uncertainty. Numbers we cannot verify are marked [UNVERIFIED] and excluded from scoring. A commission cannot fill a data gap.

Current and pending partnerships

We maintain this list as programs are approved. As of July 5, 2026: applications pending or planned with n8n, Make, and several voice AI platforms. None of the audits published to date were altered before, during, or after any application. When a partnership becomes active, this page is updated within a week.

What we will never do

  • Publish a benchmark we did not run, or a figure we did not verify.
  • Rank a product higher because its commission is higher.
  • Hide a product's weakness because the vendor is a partner.
  • Accept payment for placement, coverage, or score changes. Sponsored content, if we ever run it, will be labeled as such in the page header, not in a footnote.
